April 13th, 2010 Day 32 of VLCD

  • weight: 154 more to come off tomorrow as today is day #2 of colonic. I may have lost more this morning if I didn't drink something with a little agave, oops I didn't know until it was down the hatch!
  • Lunch: Orange Roughy and romaine lettuce with 5 cherry tomatoes

April 9th, 2010 Day 28 of VLCD includes measurements

  • You don't just want to hear about our weight loss today, you'd rather hear more about our inches lost so here goes...
  • Terrie has lost 17#'s (now that includes 1 monthly cycle in which I read in a few women's blogs had gained 2#'s during, I didn't gain nor lose so I feel fortunate and ready to start losing again, infact lost 1 more # this morning); I lost 3/4" off my neck, 1" off upper arm, & 2 1/2 off waistline, 1 3/4" off hips, and 1 1/4" off my thighs! Yahoo!
  • My son has lost 24#'s on VLCD in 28 days, 3 1/2" off chest, 2 3/4" off abs, 2" off thigh and 2" off waist.
  • My daughter has lost 8#'s in 14 days , 2 1/2" off waist, 2" off abs, 3" off hips.
Dr. Simeon was so right HCG puts the fat where it needs to be...along your organs and along your bones. And HCG takes off the bad fat where it should NOT be. I have no more problems with the plantar fasciitis that I had severe for 1 1/2 years. Also, I have never dieted where I lose weight so evenly around the whole body.

Salad Seasoning

1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
2 tsp. dried basil
2 tsp. dried chives
2 tsp. dried marjoram
2 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. sea salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Sauteed Beet Greens & Onion

2 cups beet greens, chopped
2 Tbsp. water or broth
1 tsp. red wine vinegar
1/4 cup onions, diced
1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
salt & pepper to taste

Saute onions in water or broth, add greens, saute for another 5 mins. Add rest of ingredients just before serving.

Curry Style Chicken and Spinach

1 chicken breast, cut into 1 inch strips
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 tsp. ground coriander
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/8 tsp. onion powder
pinch of garlic powder
pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
2 cups spinach, chopped
salt to taste

Fennel Salad

1 whole fennel, cut thinly
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. water
pinch stevia

Mix lemon juice, water and stevia together, pour over cut up fennel. Enjoy!

Beef Rib Marinade

2 Tbsp. Tamari
2 tsp. Worcester sauce
1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. ginger root, grated fine

Fennel Soup

1 whole fennel, bulb & stalks cut into bite size pieces
1 1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 tsp. fennel seed
1/8 tsp. anise seed, ground
salt & pepper to taste

Place all in a pot and cook 20 mins.

*could put your 100 gr. of chicken breast cut up into soup.

Fennel Sauteed

1 whole fennel, bulb and stalks, cut in bite size
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 tsp. dry mustard or 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
salt & pepper to taste

Bring chicken broth to a boil, add fennel slices and spices. Simmer 20 mins.

April 5th, 2010 Day 24 of VLCD

  • weight: 157 same as yesterday. I seemed to lose a 1/2 pound a day.
  • Snack: Grapefruit
  • Lunch: beef rib and fennel
New recipe and was it de-lish! Must buy more fennel! My daughter ate 1/2 of mine.

Talbert's Taco Seasoning

1 tsp. chili pepper
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. garlic

Tomato Beef Soup

1 Med. Beefsteak Tomato
1/2 cup beef broth
1 Tbsp. cilantro, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. Braggs
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
pinch red pepper

Balsamic Fish

1 Tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/8 tsp. onion powder
pinch garlic powder
pinch black pepper

Marinate 15 mins. or more. Place on George Foreman Grill for 3-5 mins. Enjoy!

April 1st, 2010 Day 20 of VLCD

  • April fools...I'll be there soon but today my weight: 159 :) that's 14#'s in 19 days of VLCD
That means I have 21-26 more pounds to lose. So far I have lost 19, that is since the start of the year = I'm at the middle
Wearing size 34 or 14 regular non-stretch or 12 stretch jeans! Yes! Hello pile of pants that I just knew I would be back.
I'm not if I told the story of my closet breaking down last October? I had to add another pant size and the bar just couldn't hold any more weight and it clasped. What a nightmare! I had to pull everything out and sort. I made a nice size stack of pants neatly folded below all the hanging ones.
  • My son has lost 19 #'s in 19 days! I might add...he is looking really good. I believe I stated that he had already lost 32 #'s on the liver cleanse so he has lost a total of 51 #'s and has 49 more.
  • Snack: grapefruit
  • Lunch: Chicken Onion Soup
  • Snack: Fuji Apple
  • Dinner Balsmic Fish, something new to try
It feels really good when your clothes were too tight to wear and now you put them on and there is extra room!
